The Astrox 99 Pro is the revised top racket from the Astrox racket series from Yonex. Played by Kento Momota.
The stiff and top-heavy racket has a slightly enlarged racket head and a thus optimized and larger sweet spot.
The new, special eyelet band in the racket tip is 55% heavier than comparable eyelets, concentrating the weight in the head and thus providing more swing mass for even more hitting power.
The new high-strength "Volume Cut Resin" material in the frame facilitates the swinging behavior of the racket.
The Extra Slim Shaft, which is thinner than the previous model, reduces air resistance. The newly developed grip cap "E.B. Cap Plus" accelerates the rebound of the shaft.
With the new material mix "Namd" for maximum rebound force and first-class control.
The high impact energy developed with it enables significantly steeper and considerably faster attacking strokes for deadly smashes.
The Astrox Series' signature Rotational Generator System distributes weight across the T-Joint, frame and handle end according to counterweight theory for optimal control.
The new racquet offers up to 2.4% more smash power and 1.6% less drag compared to its predecessor.
